I am Karlyn's Aunt Amy, Mike's sister. I happened to see you comment on her blog and trotted over to see your pictures. WOW! I have a friend that moved from Minnesota to Homer, AK and works at a restaurant there on Homer Spit. He has been telling me to come anytime, and your pictures make me want to come even sooner! BEAUTIFUL!! How fun for you and Jerry! My favorite is your comment at the end, to Live the Life you Love. So fitting. Safe travels to you!

I wish I could have followed your journey even closer this year -- I love the summary of pictures in the video. Very cool. And BEAUTIFUL!!!

Everyone I talk to has either been to Alaska or knows someone who has (or lives there) and there doesn't seem to be any other reports except that it's AMAZING up there.
Hmmmm....

Dad tells me you're getting rid of the ol' ball n' chain house and trading in the RV for a nicer model... WOW! I'm glad you'll be doing this and hope you keep on posting blogs about your journeys -- so much fun for the rest of us!

God bless, and drive safe!!!

Hi Guys, first, awesome pics of your trip.... I will read more as we are planning a trip late August... we are going to be travelling across Canada to go to Kelowna, BC for our Granddaughter who is flying in to compete in the Ponyclub National Competition... We then are planning to head out of there 17 Aug and head up to Alaska... I think it is too late to head up there as we were told you need to be out of there by the end of Sep so that only leaves us a few weeks to see it all. I would rather go in May and June and Jul but because of the competition being 14 Aug and can't go earlier because of a commitment to a competition in our home area 17 Jul... so kinda screws up the summer so to speak. If any of your followers have any comments about the time frame to visit Alaska, I would love to hear from them.... Our youngest daughter lives in Vancouver, so it will be a family reunion for most...

Anyway, love your pics, and now I will read on!!! Cheers, and happy camping....

Hi Carol. You will have plenty of time over 5-6 weeks to see a lot of Alaska. Map out your trip but make sure you go to Seward and Homer and you will see a lot along the way. Have a fun trip.
